About the Book

The author, Dr. Shanker Adawal, is a professional in the field of telecommunications. He is presently working for one of the Fortune 500 Indian companies at a senior position. Did his MBA and PhD, and worked with Multinationals in India and abroad, before joining his present assignment. He has traveled extensively both in India and abroad. He also has keen interest in Human Rights.

He got interested in astrology when he was young, did his Jyotishacharya, and has been doing his research in this field for over three decades. His desire and aspiration to share the findings of his research and the new dimensions which can be given to the science of astrology, prompted him to attempt to put the details in the form of a book so that the readers can take advantage of the same.

The planets the Sun and the Moon denote the Soul and the Mind. These are the two most important drivers which shape the actions and thus the destiny of any human being.

The Sun is the King of the solar system and the Moon provides the nourishment to the planet.

These two planets are fast moving plants. The Sun stays in a sign for one month while the Moon is there for 2½ days. The movement of these two planets are enablers for the mind and the Sun is the total inertia which is there in the native.

This book analyses the movement of these two planets in the ascendant and how it affects various aspects of out life. A beginner in astrology as well as those who are in the field of research would find it interesting. Also those who are interested in knowing about their sun signs, moon signs too would find it interesting.

The Moon (Chandra) and the Sun (Surya) are the great mysterious planets, proclaiming the incalculable wonders of Divine Design. The Moon and the Sun happen to be the only planets which are luminous in Character. All the rest are opaque. Hence, astrology without the study of these two great planets remains incomplete. From my own long experience in the field of Astrology, I have come to believe that the eclipse on Moon and Sun is a mystic phenomenon, which creates subtle effects.

My sole objective in writing this book is to interest and educate the lay mind about the effect of the Moon and Sun, and the impact of there aspects. We deal with issues that an exalted Sun is necessarily not good in all aspects. Each planet and so also the luminaries’ have there impact based on there Kartatwa, placement and the learning’s from the Bhrigu Nadi Principles.

In Astrology the Moon represents your inner self while the Sun represents your outer self. Just as the Sun represents the day and the Moon represents the Night. Just as you have a Sun sign, you are born under a specific Moon sign as well.

Understanding your Moon sign is essential if you want to understand Astrology and how it can work for you. Your Moon sign is every bit as important as your Sun sign. The sing of the Zodiac that your Sun is in represents your ego, your conscious mind, and your natural motivation for life. An ever-increasing number of people today feel discontented, weary, or uncertain in their life. They really don’t know the best thing they should be doing for a living and are confused about their purpose. My aim in writing this book is to represent, as far as I am practically able, the concepts of the Sun (Surya) and the Moon (Chandra) Astrology, and their linkage to modern career principles. I hope this book will provide a bridge between the principles of success and a population of people who are interested in astrology but have not really deeply examined what makes a person accomplished in their career.

This book is a complete manual on the Sun (Surya) and the Moon (Chandra) signs and it is my sincere attempt to give my lay readers to understand the in-depth meaning of every Character they possess. The book is containing all the necessary information on general astrological knowledge pertaining to your Sun sign. It covers a lot of ground work. I have tried to cover aspects – the relationships between the stars and planets-are an essential piece when it comes to interpreting the destiny of an individual from astrological information. For the convenience and benefit of the readers, I have covered most of the topics including transit under various houses, the Sun and the Moon’s aspects to other Signs, their Mahadashas, Effects and Remedial measures through various means under Astrology by which the readers can be benefited. The book is a boon to people keen on getting acquainted with astrology. Reading this book can enrich the inner and outer personality of the person so it can be a possession of one’s collection of books.
